President – Jayne
Jayne’s involvement at Del Sante started in 1979. She participated in Interstate and Country trips away with the club involving Team work, Graceful Girls and Best Type Solo’s. There was also Exam work and assistant coaching.
A big highlight for Jayne was achieving her 10yrs & 15yrs service awards. Jayne retired from Calisthenics in 1995, after spending 17yrs with Del Sante.
Jayne returned to the club in 2006 with her daughter and became actively involved with costume making and the committee. Jayne became the Solo Competition Secretary in 2009. Jayne moved into the President’s role in 2010. Jayne’s daughter represented the State in 2011 & 2012, meeting many new friends through this sport has been very fulfilling.
Calisthenics will help your child to develop team work skills, self-confidence, a positive self-esteem, memory and concentration. Calisthenics is a wonderful artistic sport.
Vice President – Julie
Julie has been with the club for 11 years with 3 daughters involved. She is going into her 5th year as Vice President of the club. Over the years all 3 of her daughters have represented the state and have made many friends in their time in the sport. Meeting lots of parents both in the Del Sante club and also from other clubs has been fulfilling for Julie.
Julie says “Del Sante Gardens C.C. is a very supportive, caring club with many helpful volunteers who are always supportive of all the girls in the club.” She feels the club also has a great network of coaches who put their heart and soul into the sport and it is a pleasure to her to be involved in such a progressive club.

Treasurer – Melissa
Melissa participated in Calisthenics for 16 years, with most of those at Woodville Gardens before it amalgamated with Del Sante. She competed in State Teams in Ballarat when she was an Intermediate and also as a Senior. Melissa coached Graceful Girls and Sub Juniors over her time with the club.
After taking a break she returned to the club in 1989 with her eldest daughter Jessica and now currently has her youngest daughter as a member of the club participating in the Intermediate age group. Melissa was elected as the Treasurer of the club in 2006.
Principal/CASA Liaison – Michelle
Michelle has been coaching for more than 30 years for Del Sante, covering all age groups. Michelle was appointed Principal of Del Sante Calisthenics in 1977 when Rosaria Day retired. In her early coaching years she coached Del Sante teams competing in Ballarat, winning a Sub-junior B Grade Aggregate in 1980.
In 1986, when Del Sante amalgamated with Woodville Gardens Michelle remained the Principal of the club. Michelle has coached three Sub-junior National teams, twice gaining Runner-up Aggregates. She has won CASA Aggregates with Del Sante teams in all age groups throughout her coaching career.
She is married to Andrew and has three children, including her daughter Brittney, who has been a member of the club since she was 2. Michelle has been involved with this family-orientated club for most of her life and says she has made many lifelong friendships in the sport.
Wardrobe Mistress – Jane
Jane has been involved with Del Sante when her daughter Sandra started calisthenics as a junior in 1986. Sandra then coached later in her career starting in 1998 and finishing coaching in 2007.
For some of the years Jane has been at the club she had her daughter coaching and participating as a senior, whilst her granddaughter was participating at the club too. She was elected as the wardrobe mistress in 1988 and has been in that role at the club since that time.
Jane supports both the coaches and parents with the many, many costumes the club has in its wardrobe. The club is proud of their costume stock and is conscious of keeping costs down for parents when it comes to having their girls looking great on stage.
